freie TrauerredenLife path
My life path meanders like a river in a wide valley in many directions and through many different areas. In my younger years I was intensively involved in dance and choreography, first in Switzerland and then through a fateful workshop, in New York. I lived in this city for over 30 years where I accompanied my son into life. With time I increasingly turned to photography, video, text, mixed media and performance art. These are still a central part of my work today, for some years now, in the Basel area. My passion for dance has developed into a passion for yoga, qigong, breathing techniques and vision quest, in all I am trained as an instructor.
In addition to my artistic work, I also work as a freelance funeral speaker. The subject of death has been on my mind for a long time. I trained as a death doula in New York and attended courses in end-of-life counseling. I spent many hours accompanying the sick and dying in a hospital in New York. First in New York, and now in Basel, I organize regular Death Cafés together with friends. The Death Cafés have allowed me to reflect intensively on the subject and expand my knowledge through many lively conversations.
As a freelance bereavement speaker (certified from the Zeremonien-Akademie), I weave all these different experiences and gifts into an ever-changing fabric of reflection, accompaniment and celebration.
